#Top5 - Places in London

Sono tornata da circa due settimane da un viaggio di lavoro a Londra, l'ho trovata sempre in forma e sempre bellissima. Ora che ci penso è stata la mia ottava volta nella città inglese e il rientro è sempre più traumatico. Ecco perché ho pensato di dedicare questo post ai miei 5 posti preferiti della città! Tranquilli, non vi racconterò di quanto siano belli il Big Ben o Piccadilly Circus (lo sono però!), vi parlerò anzi di tutti quei luoghi che amo ritrovare quando torno a Londra.

I just came back from London two weeks ago, I had to go there to work and I found it beautiful and in great shape as usual. Now that I think about it, it has been my 8th time in the english city and coming back is always painful. This is why I thought about an article with the top 5 places I like to go when I'm there. Not the Big Ben or Piccadilly Circus (although those are pretty good too!), I'm "showing" you the places I go each time that I'm back in London.

5)Forbidden Planet - 179 Shaftesbury Ave, WC2H 8JR

Il Paradiso di tutti i Nerd che si rispettino è al 179 di Shaftesbury Avenue. Action figures, libri, fumetti, gadgets e t-shirts di ogni tipo vi aspettano in questo Eden a 3 piani con una sala dedicata al role-playing. Insomma una tappa che non salto mai ogni volta che sono a Londra, altrimenti che razza di Nerd sarei?!?

Nerds' Paradise is in 179 Shaftesbury Avenue. Action figures, books, comics, gadgets and t-shirts for everyone and everything are waiting for you in this Eden. A stop I never miss averytime I'm in London, otherwise what kind of nerd would I be?!?

4)Primark - all over London :)

Che voi abbiate bisogno di un paio di scarpe, una t-shirt o un vestito carino e non vogliate spendere un patrimonio, questo è il posto che fa per voi! Si possono trovare tante cose carine e di qualità discreta per i prezzi che hanno. Ci sono tornata anche l'ultima volta e ho speso, anche se non troppo. È il posto perfetto se avete bisogno di qualche capo "basic" all'ultimo minuto - o se vi hanno perso la valigia!

Whether you need a pair of shoes, a t-shirt or a cute dress and don't want to spend too much, this is the place for you! You can find many things at low prices and the quality is pretty good. I came back the last time I was there and I bought something. It's the perfect place if you need something "basic" last minute - or if the airline company lost you bag!

3)West End - Central London

Tutto il quartiere "artistico" di Londra si estende tra Camden e Westminster. Quella a cui mi riferisco io è la parte teatrale e culturale che va da Covent Garden a Leicester Square. Insomma la mia "Broadway" londinese, sia per vedere bellissimi musical che per respirare l'aria dei teatri!

Piccolo appunto: dal West End passa anche la via dello shopping Oxford Street altro mio posto preferito, soprattutto perché con una semplice passeggiata potete trovare tutto ciò che vi serve.

The "artistic" side of London goes from Camden to Westminster. The side I'm referring to is the "theatrical" and "cultural" part from Covent Garden to Leicester Square. As you know I'm a big Broadway geek and this is my "little Broadway" in London. It is beautiful whether you want to see beautiful musicals or plays or just to breathe in theatre.

Plus: in the West End of London you can also find Oxford Street, which is my to-go shopping promenade! 

2)Kensington Gardens - W24RU

Questa sono io, circa 5 anni fa, con la statua di Peter Pan. I Kensington Gardens sono un posto magico, in cui si respira un'aria da fiaba. Perfetti per una bella passeggiata o per un pomeriggio di relax, magari con un bel libro. Tappa obbligata, la statua di Peter.

This is me, 5 years ago. Kensington Gardens are a magical place, where you can imagine to live inside a fairytale. Perfect for a simple walk or for an afternoon with a book to relax. Sure stop is the Peter Pan Statue, of course!

È possibile fare una dichiarazione d'amore ad un bar? Forse sì, almeno nel caso del Theatre Café! Questo locale ha aperto a gennaio e ho avuto la fortuna di visitarlo per la prima volta a pochi giorni dall'inauguarazione. Ci sono tornata recentemente e credetemi quando vi dico che ha tutto quello che un appassionato di musical possa desiderare (compresi baristi carini e con una splendida voce!). E poi tutto è veramente buonissimo! Dalle torte ai frappé.

Is it possible to declare love to a bar? Well, I think it is if we're talking about The Theatre Café! This place opened in january and I was lucky enough to visit it three days after its opening. I came back recently and believe me when I say it has everything a musical passionate can desire (cute workers with splendid voice included!). Plus everything is delicious! Starting from cakes, going throught coffees and smoothies.
